Chesapeake Bay Program Information

Information about the Chesapeake Bay Program (CBP) and details about ongoing efforts to protect water quality and restore the Chesapeake Bay Watershed can be found at many websites supported by CBP partners. Chesapeake Bay Executive Order

In May, 2009, President Barack Obama signed the Chesapeake Bay Executive Order, declaring the Chesapeake Bay a national treasure. Follow the link to learn more about the Executive Order and federal agency plans to restore the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.

Chesapeake Bay TMDL

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will release a final TMDL on December 31, 2010. The TMDL is a “pollution diet” for the entire watershed. Click here to learn more about the document and how the CBP is working to reduce pollution throughout the watershed.
