Increasing Effectiveness and Reducing the Cost of Non-Point Source Best Management Practice (BMP) Implementation: Is Targeting the Answer?
November 12, 2019 - November 13, 2019Fairfax, VA
The Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee (STAC) invites you to participate in a two-day workshop designed to provide the Chesapeake Bay Program (CBP) with pertinent and timely recommendations about how to structure a BMP targeting program. The goal of this workshop is to inform the development of processes/approaches to identify cost effective selection and placement of BMPs that maximize nutrient reductions of limited funding in the Chesapeake Bay. This workshop is aimed at targeting BMP implementation to areas of the landscape that produce the majority of Bay non-point source pollution as these are essential to achieve pollutant reduction targets given limited funding.
The meeting will take place at the Northern Virginia Regional Commission (NVRC) (3040 Williams Drive, Fairfax, Virginia 22031).
