Review of DRAFT Ambient Water Quality Criteria for Dissolved Oxygen, Water Clarity and Chlorophyll a for the Chesapeake Bay and Tidal Tributaries
July 12, 2002 - July 12, 2002STAC conducted a scientific review of the CBP?s draft Ambient Water Quality Criteria for Dissolved Oxygen, Water Clarity and Chlorophyll a for the Chesapeake Bay and Tidal Tributaries. The document was reviewed by 10 scientists with four from institutions from outside the Bay watershed. The charge to STAC was to organize a scientific peer review of the report focusing on Appendix A (Designated Uses); Chapters 3-5 on criteria for Dissolved Oxygen, Water Clarity and Chlorophyll, respectively; and Chapter 6 (Implementation Guidelines). Each reviewer was asked to comment on Appendix A, Chapter 6, and one of the criteria chapters.
