Impacts of COVID-19 on Fisheries
June 7, 2021 - June 7, 2021The impacts of COVID-19 have played out in many ways across the Chesapeake Bay and its watershed, including affecting the fisheries and aquaculture sector. This workshop is one of three “mini-workshops” aiming to explore some of these impacts in greater detail, with this session focused on the pandemic’s effect on local fisheries and aquaculture. The goal is to explore lessons learned from how COVID-19 impacts have played out and how this might inform management of the Chesapeake Bay going forward, including economic and societal considerations. Please join the Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee (STAC) for a 2-hour conversation on changing dynamics, future projections, and management actions going forward.
