STAC was excited to welcome 3 new Federal members in December 2018:
Anthony Buda is a Research Hydrologist for the Pasture Systems and Watershed Management Research Unit for the USDA. He focuses on hydrological and water quality studies to determine the effects of agricultural management, landscape factors and soil characteristics on fate and transport of nutrients, sediments and emerging contaminants in runoff.
Greg Noe, a Research Ecologist with the USGS Water Mission Area in Virginia, leads the Wetland Ecosystem Ecology and Biogeochemistry Laboratory where he focuses on the interactive influences of hydrology, geomorphology, climate, and biology on nitrogen, phosphorous, carbon, and sediment biogeochemistry and transport in fluvial ecosystems. He also focuses on plant community ecology and restoration ecology. Noe currently serves on the board for Wetlands and has previously served on program committees of national and international scientific conferences.
Michael Runge is a Research Ecologist at the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center for the USGS. His research focuses on problems in quantitative ecology related to adaptive management of wildlife resources. Runge also has interest in harvest management models, population modeling and large-scale management experiments.
