Research interests: Environmental Health and Toxicology; investigating the fate and effect of chemicals and other stressors on organisms. A focus on understanding the routes of exposure, uptake, metabolism and target site(s) of contaminants, mechanism(s) of action/effect and consumption risks for higher trophic levels. Toxicity testing and application (including risk assessment, regulation and management activities, determining ballast water technique efficacy and risks) and the development and use of various biomarkers at multiple levels in various invertebrate and vertebrate species, including early-life stages.
