Chesapeake Bay Marine Environmental Assessment, 1985 Annual Summary

The Chesapeake Bay 1985 Annual Summary presents a synoptic view of the marine and atmospheric conditions and the direct and indirect impacts of these conditions on the Bay system. The environmental and human use relationships detailed in this reJX)rt indicate the interdependent nature of economic activity and Ratural processes that coexist in the Chesapeake Bay area. This report uses data gathered by scientists in the fields of physical oceanography, marine biology, meteorology, JX)litical science, and economics; it presents a multidisciplinary view of the Chesapeake Bay area. Relationships within and between the different economic sectors are presented in detail where possible. It is hoped that this collection of data will stimulate further investigation by natural and social scientists studying the Chesapeake Bay.
