C-StREAM Update: Following up on Fellows and Funding

Last year, the C-StREAM program provided support for a cohort of students from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue Chesapeake research and work closely with academic mentors.

We are excited to host another cohort of C-StREAM fellows in 2020, but we are looking for additional funding. If you are interested in partnering with the CRC on finding and applying for additional funding to help grow our fellowship program, please contact the CRC Director. We are also looking for people generally interested in supporting the program, so please reach out if you’d like to become more involved.

We expect that applications for the 2020 cohort will open in mid December. We would like to coordinate our funding with REU programs at our member institutions to recruit the best group of candidates possible. Please reach out if you run an REU program and would be interested in working together on this effort.

Finally, we are in the process of reaching out to our 2019 cohort and their mentors at their home institutions. Look out for an email from the Executive Director in the coming weeks!
