Meredith is working closely with the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration and National Park Service teams and is primarily located at the NPS Chesapeake Gateways office in Annapolis. Meredith graduated from William & Mary in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Environmental Policy. As a research assistant with the Institute for Integrative Conservation, they utilized remote sensing to research equity in conservation easements in New Mexico and grassland restoration efficacy in South Texas. These projects solidified Meredith's desire to work in conservation with a special focus on the "people side" through environmental justice, equity, and education. As a Virginia native, Meredith is overjoyed to achieve their childhood dream of working to conserve the Chesapeake Bay watershed. In their free time, they enjoy dancing, hiking, kayaking, making art, practicing German, and playing tabletop games with friends!
