Petra Baldwin
Location : Chesapeake Bay Program Offices Position : Environmental Management Staffer - Water Quality Goal Implementation Team Email : baldwin.petra@epa.gov Bio : Petra Baldwin joined the Chesapeake Research Consortium in 2025 as an Environmental Management Staffer to the Chesapeake Bay Program’s Water Quality Goal Implementation Team. She staffs the Toxic Contaminants, Wastewater Treatment, and Urban Stormwater Workgroups, providing administrative and technical support to help stakeholders across the watershed come together to achieve shared water quality goals.
Petra is a graduate of Williams College, with a degree in Chemistry and Environmental Studies. Prior to joining CRC, she worked at Anacostia Riverkeeper, implementing a regional community science water monitoring program in Washington, DC and engaging local residents to become watershed stewards.
Originally from Seattle, and growing up across the world, Petra fell in love with all things water as a means to feel at peace and connected to the world. Now, she’s happy to call the Chesapeake Bay home. Outside of work, Petra enjoys live music, board games, cooking, running, and reading.
