Bio :	Tou Matthews joined the Chesapeake Research Consortium in 2023 as a Projects Manager for the Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee (STAC). Tou organizes STAC Meetings, STAC Workshops, and other STAC activities. Tou graduated McDaniel College in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies, concentration Earth System Sciences. At McDaniel College, Tou was co-president of the student-led sustainability organization Green Life and worked as a Learning Assistant at the STEM Center. They have also volunteered at their local estuary center and The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. Tou has grown up in Maryland with easy access to the Chesapeake Bay and the enriching experiences provided by the watershed. They enjoy reading, cooking, gardening, and personal projects – such as raising native Eastern Hercules Beetles. Nica Vito, their service dog, often accompanies them.
